Students with aptitudes for science and service professions will be identified at the middle and early-high school level, and they can be enrolled in the pathway in the ninth grade. While in high school, students will participate in classroom instruction, hands-on labs and clinical experiences that provide opportunities to earn pathway credentials such as CPR/AED, OSHA-10 Healthcare and Certified Nursing Assistant prior to graduation. The PPN program curriculum is offered in partnership with TCAT Elizabethton and TCAT Morristown. Credits earned within the program are transferable to a TCAT nursing program to pursue further education in nursing.
