Ballad Health Academy Students complete first-ever Wilderness First Aid Camp

“Prepare, respond, preserve.” Ballad Health Academy recently completed its inaugural Wilderness First Aid Camp, held at Science Hill High School.

Approximately 40 students participated in this unique two-day experience designed to teach emergency response skills in outdoor and remote environments.

During camp, students learned how to recognize and respond to a variety of emergency situations, including fractures and sprains, head injuries, chest pain, bites and stings, bleeding control and scene management.

The camp challenged students to think critically, communicate effectively with teammates and work as a team.

The enthusiasm and engagement demonstrated by our students, teachers, Pathway Advisors and student “patients” helped make this event a tremendous success!
