Practical Nursing Program Benefits

This innovative program aims to equip high school students with the essential skills and knowledge required to become a licensed practical nurse, preparing them for a rewarding and impactful career in healthcare.

Job placement and beyond

Upon completion of the program, students will be eligible to take the NCLEX-PN (National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses). Successful completion of this exam will qualify them to become licensed practical nurses, ready to enter the workforce or pursue further education in nursing.

Early engagement and personalized guidance

School counselors, along with Ballad Health Academy Pathway Advisors, will work with students throughout their high school career to schedule and sequence their dual enrollment courses. This guidance ensures students stay on track with their advanced career pathway into a healthcare career.

Removed barriers to access

There is no cost for program participation for the student. Additionally, counselors provide resources including transportation and supplies, as well as removing common barriers for students wanting to pursue a career in healthcare.
